On the occasion of the June 2005 SME Promotion and Private Sector Development Partnership Meeting, its members agreed to the establishment of thematic working groups that will lead towards more action-oriented Partnership consultations.

The Working Group on Business Research and Monitoring comprises of international projects and organizations and relevant national institutions conducting research and other interventions on economic development, competitiveness and regulatory issues at the national level and programs and agencies that are interested in finding ways for monitoring progress achieved in SME development in Vietnam.

The objective of the Business Research Working Group is to set up a platform on which practical approaches, tools and experiences could be shared and cooperation and coordination opportunities are identified and realized.
